There is no way in the World that President Tinubu and his APC Government can mend or heal Nigeria.
It would be a miracle if he does, and would have transformed himself into an Awolowo or Nelson Mandela overnight which is a mission impossible.
I just watched a program of my adopted daughter Adeola Fayeun on the squander mania currently going on in Lagos, the only financially-solvent State out of the 36 States of Nigeria under Government Sanwoolu.
Nigerians should be sick to their stomach to watch that podcast on You Tube like I did with revulsion and disappointment.
The American Presidential System of Government is just totally unsuitable for a terribly corrupt country like Nigeria. That is the truth and nothing but the truth. Our people in Government are killing the country by spending all the generated revenues both internal vand external and topping that squander mania with borrowed money they could never repay from external sources.
Any President who cannot see what I am seeing now and doing something novel and draconian even for his own creature comfort, has forfeited the right to continue to lead the country. I have not seen any scintilla of that self sacrifice from Tinubu or any of the individuals he has so far appointed into his Government. Not a single one!!!!
What is going on in Nigeria is what is going on, in each and of all the 36 States of Nigeria and in the so-called Federal Capital Territory of Abuja.
Everybody would be shocked to their marrow when they got to hear how much had been spent on medical treatment of the Ondo State Governor as we speak and how much waste and squander mania have taken place and how much water has already passed under the bridge ever since the Governor has been ill and there has been a running battle between the State Assembly and the Deputy Governor for reasons best known to them and for reasons they all cannot be proud following public scrutiny.
I couldn’t help shedding tears for Nigeria and for Ondo State as I watch that amazing podcast and so should all Nigerians at home and abroad if they compare the goodness and mercy and incorruptibility of our first Military Governor Air Force Captain Ita David Ikpeme and first civilian Governor In Pa Michael Adekunle Ajasin.
“ Hoooobile” in Akure dialect and “Allahu Aqbar” in Arabic are all I kept repeating to myself in horror as I watch Adeola Fayeun conclude that Podcast in her usual amazingly intrepid style as one of the greatest talents in investigative Journalism in Africa today, if the truth be told.
