Mother of late president Yar’adua, Hajia Dada is dead

Hajiya Dada, the mother of Nigeria’s late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, has passed away. She died Monday evening at the Federal medical center Katsina after a brief illness,

Hajiya Dada was a figure of historical significance in Nigeria, known as the only woman in the nations history to have given birth to a President, Umaru Musa Yar’adua, a former Vice President, Shehu Musa Yar’adua, a Minister, a serving Senators and a former Governor.

Also, three of her granddaughters have held the prestigious title of First Lady, as wives of the former Governors of Katsina, Bauchi, and Kebbi States
