Mrs Olusa Bola Emerged the 2024 Best School Coordinator in FCT


The principal of JSS Dutse Alhaji 2, the current champion of the 2024 edition of Head-to-Head debate reality show for Junior Secondary Schools in FCT, Mrs. Olusa Bola, was, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Abuja, decorated as the 2024 Best School Coordinator in FCT, registering her into the prestigious Ebony Herald Hall of Fame.
At the occasion that was well attended by important staff members of FCT UBEB, school administrators, parents, friends and well-wishers, and other members of the host community of the school, including the Hakimi of Dutse Alhaji, expressions of respect and gratitude to the amazing principal confirmed the accuracy of Ebony Herald at selecting her awardees.
The publisher of Ebony Herald International Magazine and Ebony herald news online, Alhaji La’i Gidado, in his comment, said the reports gathered from around the community about Mrs Olusa called for this honour.

“Today’s event is a special one because honour is being given to a special mother, owing to the reports we gathered from around the community.
“Mrs Olusa did not only produced the 2024 Champion of the Head-to-Head debate, despite her school was about the youngest among the 78 schools in FCT that participated in the debate, the amiable principal was able to coordinate her teachers, which resulted in her JSS 3 students getting 100% result (no re-sit) in the last BECE, the school’s first one at that.
The publisher said her love for the pupils of her school is evident by her care and concern for their well-being, as testified to by all and sundry within the school’s host community.
He appreciated the Hakimi of Dutse Alhaji, Alhaji Abubakar Bako, and parents of JSS Dutse Alhaji 2, for being good parents and supporting the efforts of the principal and her teachers.
Speaking at the event, a director from UBEB, Hajiya Rahamatu Isah commented that it’s a good thing that outsiders have also seen the quality UBEB is seeing in Mrs Olusa, adding that the board is really glad to have such a person with a large heart on its team, and would always give her all needed support.
Coordinator of Principals in Bwari Area Council, Mr. Abdullahi Gbenga, speaking at the occasion, said Mrs. Olusa deserves the recognition.
“Mrs. Olusa has really surprised us all because she has done well within a short period. She is loyal, sincere and hardworking.
“Mrs. Olusa is focused and ready to go higher. She is punctual to school and punctual to the need of her pupils,” he remarked, while advising other principals to emulate the awardee, saying, “This is because the parents gave us this children on trust and we can’t afford to disappoint them.”
The Hakimi of Dutse Alhaji, Alhaji Abubakar Bako, speaking at the award event, proverbed that a farmer who knows how to farm should not be thought again, saying Ebony Group has just confirmed his prayer that Mrs. Olusa is going far higher than imagined.
“I am not surprised at the award, seeing this school has recently started, but competed with older schools and came out first, because of our able mummy.
“No wonder Bwari is tagged with educational zone because it is the seat of many great schools,” he commented.
Permanent secretary, FCDA, and the husband of the awardee, Mr. Olusa Olusegun, expressed his gratitude to Ebony Herald group for the recognition of his wife, as he remarked that Mrs Olusa has a midas touch.
“Anything my wife touches, she turns it to gold. She is an excellent woman.
“When the 2024 Head-to-Head debate commenced, it required a lot of hard work, and my wife was able to coordinate her team well to achieve the best.
“Whoever is good is good, there is no two ways about it. The children who brought the medal home are good. They cooperated with their principal and teachers to achieve success.
He appreciated the Hakimi for his fatherly care for the school, and called on UBEB to help the school further.
EFCC, NDE, Happiness Computers and JSS Dutse 2 presented some gifts to the three Ambassadors of Out-of-School children, as Ebony Herald Group also presented cash awards to each of the pupils.
The awardee, Mrs Olusa Bola, in her remark appreciated all in attendance.
She revealed that her husband has been her pillar, and promised not to fail him.
She gave all glory to God for the recognition and pledged her unending love, care and support for her pupils and teachers.
CEO/Editor-in-chief of Ebony Herald International, Evang. (Mrs) Shalom A. Highlights of the event included cultural display by the students of JSS Dutse Alhaji 2 in a dance-drama titled Unity Dance, where they portrayed that all the ethnic groups in Nigeria are responsible for upholding the unity of this country Nigeria, a task that can’t be left for one group. The dance emphasized on the importance of seeing our diversity as a blessing rather than a factor for our division.
