Bauchi Gov inaugurates new officials, vows improved governance

New Political appointees

Determined to drive reforms and improve public service delivery, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has sworn in twelve newly appointed officials into strategic positions within the state civil service and executive council.

The appointees are:
• Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad – Chairman, Civil Service Commission
• Jummai Salamatu Abubakar – Permanent Commissioner, State Independent Electoral Commission
• Alhaji Abdu – Permanent Commissioner, State Assembly Service Commission
• Muhammad Atiku Isa – Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment and
• Muhammad Nasir Usman – Permanent Secretary

Others include; Abubakar Garba Adamu – Permanent Secretary
• Yakubu Ahmad – Permanent Secretary
• Yusuf Adamu – Permanent Secretary
• Dauda Yakubu Mahmud – Permanent Secretary
• Adamu Aliyu Abdullahi – Permanent Secretary
and Ahmed Ahmed – Permanent Secretary
, as well as Yankari Ishyaku – State Auditor-General

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Bala Mohammed charged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by exhibiting diligence, transparency, and a results-oriented approach.

He underscored the importance of fostering synergy with commissioners and senior civil servants to enhance service delivery and fast-track developmental efforts across the state.

The governor stressed that the appointments were made strictly on merit, reflecting the appointees’ proven track records and aligning with his administration’s commitment to institutional reform and efficiency.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in officials, Dr. Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, expressed gratitude to the governor for the trust and opportunity given.

He assured that they would uphold the principles of integrity and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
