GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM ERELU TAIBAT YEMI OLORUNTOBA TO COMMEMORATE THE JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF AHMADIYYA GRAMMAR SCHOOL, OGBAGI-AKOKO, ONDO STATE
To the glory of God and in celebration of an enduring legacy, I join the global family of Ahmadiyya Grammar School, Ogbagi-Akoko (AGSO), to mark with joy and gratitude this remarkable Golden Jubilee.
When this noble institution was conceived and founded half a century ago, in 1975, few could have imagined that the modest seed planted in faith and vision would blossom into a mighty oak of knowledge, strength, and moral excellence.
Today, fifty years later, that seed continues to bear abundant fruit, illuminating lives, shaping destinies, and moulding leaders across generations.
From the handful of pioneer students admitted in those early years, a proud heritage of excellence was born, one that has produced men and women of intellect, courage, and noble character, who have gone on to make indelible marks in diverse fields of human endeavour, both within Nigeria and across the world.
Ahmadiyya Grammar School, Ogbagi-Akoko, has distinguished itself as a cradle of firsts, a citadel that has raised trailblazers, innovators, and nation-builders, firmly establishing its name in the annals of educational distinction.
This Jubilee celebration is more than a commemoration, it is a living testimony that a great vision, when anchored on divine purpose and nurtured with dedication, can stand the test of time and generations.
This historic gathering of old students, friends, and well-wishers from far and near reflects the deep affection and pride that AGSO inspires in the hearts of all who passed through its hallowed halls. Indeed, we converge not only to celebrate, but to reaffirm our commitment to the values that shaped us.
As we step boldly into the next fifty years, the call before every alumnus and alumna is clear: to give back purposefully, to uplift this institution through deliberate contributions; be it in infrastructure, mentorship, or capacity-building, so that the light of Ahmadiyya Grammar School will never dim.
Collectively, let us work hand in hand to rebuild, rejuvenate, and reimagine this great citadel of learning, ensuring that future generations will continue to proudly call it their alma mater.
We must remain guided by the enduring virtues that made us; hard work, discipline, godliness, and selfless service.
These are the timeless compasses that have steered the AGSO family through the decades.
Permit me, at this juncture, to pay glowing tribute to the illustrious Oloruntoba House, the cradle of vision, service, and dedication.
From its foundation to this very moment, the House has remained a shining pillar of support, embodying the school’s values of excellence, leadership, and compassion.
I am humbled and honoured to stand on the shoulders of the visionary founders, especially the late patriarch whose name the House proudly bears, and to continue in that noble tradition of impact and generosity.
As we celebrate fifty glorious years, may the Almighty God continue to strengthen every hand that has laboured for this institution’s greatness.
May the light of Ahmadiyya Grammar School never wane, but continue to shine as a beacon of learning, hope, and inspiration for generations yet unborn.
