The Iya Adini of Akure Kingdom, Alhaja Hon. F. I. Gidado, has warmly welcomed the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to Akure South Local Government ahead of his official thank-you tour scheduled for Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
In a goodwill message, Alhaja Gidado described the Governor’s visit as a special and significant moment for the people of Akure, noting that it presents a rare opportunity for residents to interact directly with the Governor and freely express their views.
She added, that the visit would also enable the Governor to engage firsthand with the host community and people from across the local governments.
She therefore called on all sons and daughters of Akure to come out en masse to warmly receive their August visitor.
The Iya Adini emphasised that the people of Akure would seize the occasion to commend Governor Aiyedatiwa’s pragmatic leadership style and his unwavering commitment to grassroots engagement across Ondo State.
Alhaja Hon. F. I. Gidado, who is the Founder of the Muslim Ladies Circle of Nigeria and also serves as one of the Governor’s Special Assistants on Mobilisation, applauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary and impactful leadership.
She highlighted key ongoing projects of the administration in Akure, including the new Idanre Road, Ijoka Road, and the Shagari–Araromi Interchange overhead bridge.
She also commended the Governor’s collaborative efforts on the Ado–Ita Ogbolu Road, which is nearing completion.
The Iya Adini of Akure Kingdom offered prayers for the Governor, members of his team, and the continued peace and progress of Ondo State.
“Mr Governor, you are welcome home to Akure,” she concluded.
