Senator Monday Okpebholo wins Edo APC guber primary.

The Senator representing Edo central Monday Okpebholo has been declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State.

The governor of Cross River State Bassey Otu who served as the Chairman of the APC supplementary primary election, declared Senator Monday Okpebholo winner of the election Friday afternoon in Benin.

Gov.Otu said the candidate polled 12,433 votes to defeat 11 other aspirants in the contest.

Senator Hope Uzodinma Gov of Imo State, who was the former chairman of the primary election committee, on February 17th announced Dennis Idahosa, a member of house of representatives, as the winner of the primary election. While other four candidates claimed to be winner of the primary on 17th February as a result the national working committee of the party declared the primary election inconclusive.
