According to him; “The signal we are sending to criminals, is that Ondo State is not a place where they can stay.

“We want them to know, that even as kidnappers, the moment you kidnap, you can’t get away, if you steal cars, you can’t escape with it, if break houses, we will pick you, so what’s the point of stealing items you know you can’t get away with?

“So, we are warning criminals to get out of Ondo State, he warned.

Earlier, he said men of the Amotekun Corps, have assured the Muslim faithful, that we will put everything in place to ensure that the festive period is celebrated without security breaches.

During this period last week, a Toyota and a Lexus car were stolen on different locations from Owo, we traced one of the stolen vehicles from Owo to Igbara-Oke and to the Military Road block, where we are able to retrieve the vehicle and brought it back here safely.

“We equally responded to a distress call in Owo at midnight where a Toyota Camry was stolen and within 30 minutes, we were able to recover the vehicle and we’re on the trail of the armed robbers.

“Within this period, we trailed the syndicates that specialise in vadalising transformers, we retrieved some of the coils of the transformers where they were scattered by the vandals and brought out the copper coils, the suspects have left the state and we are on their trail.

Equally, there is this syndicate that specialises in what is called ‘One Chance’.

“Unsuspecting commuters would board their vehicles and when they get to midway, they would rob and disposes them of their valuables and make away with them.

“We are able to put some of our men in one of the vehicles and as I speak with you, out of the 10 vehicles they use, we are able to retrieve three and the kingpin of the criminal activity has been arrested and is here on parade.

“Like I said, we have 48 suspects today and all of these suspected criminals have been profiled and would be taken to the next level to the appropriate Court of law to try their cases and those that are found wanting, would be sent to the Correctional homes”, he assured.

The Amotekun Commander, however, assured the good people of the state, that the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led administration is resolute in making the state conducive for businesses to thrive, make for social activities to boom and ensure all that make the state a safe haven where everyone will sleep with their two eyes closed.
