The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Bayelsa State has presented certificate of return to Hon.Timi Omubo Agala,Hon George Braah Oteigbanyo and 21 others who recently won the March 18 House of Assembly Elections in the State.

Speaking shortly after receiving his certificate,the lawmaker elect for Brass Constituency Two Hon Timi Omubo Agala, said his re-election into the house for the second term for another four years is to the betterment of his constituents as they will experience effective and efficient representation.

He said “I have better and more experience to deliver the dividends of democracy to make better laws for my people,to speak more,my voice is going to be louder in the floor of the house both at plenary and committee level, definitely my people will enjoy better representation.

Timi Omubo Agala,who extended a hand of fellowship on all his opponents, called on them to join hands with him for dividend of democracy so as to move the constituency forward, noting that he won the election free and fair,henced needless for anyone to challenge the process as it will only be an exercise in futility.

He further thanked the National Assembly,INEC and president Muhammadu Buhari for the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) into the electoral system, while maintaining that elections are better now for the people of Nigeria.

Similarly,Barrister George Braah Oteigbanyo who was elected for the first term under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)to represent the people of Nembe Constituency One thanked his constituents for the overwhelming support giving him.

His words “First and foremost we Thank God for this victory and the supporters,the good people of Nembe Constituency One who give me this mandate and for me it was a keenly contested election”.

He promised never to disappoint his constituents for the confidence repose on him,while calling on all and sundry to join hands with him to move the constuency forward as there’s no victor no vanquish.

The lawmaker who was full of of happiness said lawmaking is not about the party but the individuals with capacity,competence,character and to give the people good representation in the house of Assembly .

Oteigbanyo further characterise his victory as divine and the people’s will, adding that the people called for change and change as come to better their lives.
