BMNA Set To Honour, Elder T.K Ogoriba As “Izon Icon Of The Year”

A foremost Ijaw leader, Elder Tk Ogoriba, has been nominated for an award as the “Izon iconic of the year” by the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Award, BMNA, headed by the Project Manager Mr Blessing Mathew.

While presenting the nomination letter, to him in Yenagoa, Mr. Ozegbe commended Elder Ogoriba for his Selfless Struggles and Sacrifices that necessitated the creation of Bayelsa State.

According to him, his genuine and constructive agitations for the emancipation of the Ijaw People , peace making , bridge building gestures across every region where the Ijaws are found, his Visionary Leadership Style and always Standing Firm and truthful to issues that affects the Ijaw Nation.

While giving reasons why Elder TK Ogoriba was nominated, the project manager gave instance of how he fourth for the marginalization of the Izon People and the degradation of the Niger Delta as some of the reasons why the Founding Father was nominated

Mr Ozegbe further described Elder Ogoriba as a detrabalised Nigerian, a hard working , Competent, Eloquent Personality and Leader who puts the Ijaw Nation above personal gain and advice other prominent Sons and Daughters of Ijaw Nation to emulate the positive Antecedents of Elder T. K Ogoriba.

Delighted Elder TK Ogoriba in his response thanked the organisers of BMNA for the nomination and assured them that he will continue to stand tall for the Ijaw people and Niger Delta at large.

Ogoriba, who’s a front runner vying for the office of the President of the Ijaw National Congress, INC, in the forthcoming INC election promised not to betray the confidence given to him

The BMNA ceremony is billed to take place at the NUJ Secretariat on December 26th,2025.
