The District Head of Dakwa in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Dr. Alhassan M.B. Chukuri, has asked the new chairman— Hon. Joshua Ishaku, to keep the electoral promises he made to the Dakwa people, particularly, and the Bwari Area Council, generally.
Speaking in his palace in Dakwa, he said: “The election was very nice, interesting, peaceful, free and fair. My people came out en masse and cast their votes free of rancour, insha Allah. The chairman should try to keep his promises to the people. I pray God helps him to do so.”

He explained that only God gives power and He gave it to the APC candidate.
“My people voted massively for him. I pray God gives him the power to keep his promises to us.
As for my people, I will continue to be proud of them for the way they comported themselves very peacefully during the elections. I urge them to continue living peacefully with one another,” he stated.
He concluded by calling on the FCT administration and the Federal Government to help to repair the Dei-Dei — Dakwa — Madalla Junction and construct the Express Bridge for the Dakwa people.
