As the death of former Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye continues to generate reactions, there are also growing concerns that the former Ondo governorship candidate may not have died a natural death.

A native of Okitipupa in Ondo state, Akingboye, popularly known as OBA, reportedly passed away at his Victoria Garden City residence in Lagos during the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 60

A few days later, a distressing image of his corpse surfaced on social media, revealing bruises on his head consistent with injury.

This alarming evidence has led many to question the official narrative of his death.
The graphic photo has sparked widespread public reactions, prompting calls for a thorough police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his passing.
Authorities have confirmed they are investigating to uncover the truth behind Akingboye’s death.

A Canadian social media influencer and rights activist, Jimmy Adekanle, asserted that the bruising indicates he may have been attacked prior to his death.

Adekanle urged law enforcement to meticulously pursue the investigation to determine the actual cause of Akingboye’s death.

Adekanle said “Otunba was still in Ilorin for a function over the weekend, when I spoke to him, he was hale and hearty, what now went wrong between last weekend and Wednesday that his death was announced? We want to know how he died. If you see the picture, you will know that Otunba didn’t die a natural death”
