Customs Intercepts Large Cache Of Firearms, Ammunition in Lagos

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against illegal arms smuggling, intercepting a large cache of firearms and ammunition illegally brought into the country.

While the exact quantity and value of the seized weapons are yet to be disclosed, the development has raised serious concerns about security threats posed by arms smuggling.
In response to this alarming interception, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has arrived in Lagos to address journalists at the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone “A” in Ikeja.
His briefing is expected to shed light on the details of the seizure, the source of the smuggled arms, and the steps being taken to curb such illicit activities.
