Deadly attack: Kebbi D-Gov comforts bereaved families, assures parents of abducted students

The Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, has condoled the families of a teacher, Hassan Makuku, and a watchman, Aliyu Shehu, who were killed when bandits attacked the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area.
He also extended sympathy to the parents of the abducted schoolgirls.

The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, resulted in the deaths of the two staff members and the abduction of 25 students, although one of the girls later escaped.
During the visit, Senator Tafida urged the grieving families to accept the tragedy as the will of Allah, praying for forgiveness and eternal rest for the deceased.
He further assured the parents of the abducted girls that the state government, working closely with security agencies, is committed to securing the safe return of the students in good health.
Senator Tafida was accompanied on the condolence visit by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafidan Yauri and former Head of Service, Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba Bena.
Others include; the State Commissioner of Police; Director of the Department of State Services; and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Lawali Labbo Maishanu, among other officials.
