The Federal Government has extended warm Easter greetings to all Christians in Nigeria and around the world, with a call to strengthen national unity and promote peace.

In a statement released on Friday, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said the Easter season embodies the values of hope, renewal, and sacrifice, and serves as a reminder of the power of faith to overcome challenges.
“I join all our Christian brothers and sisters in embracing Easter’s message of hope, renewal, and sacrifice.
“This season reminds us of the power of faith to overcome adversity, and of the promise of new beginnings,” the statement read in part.
Idris urged Nigerians to allow the spirit of Easter to inspire unity and togetherness, saying it is a time to reflect on the nation’s progress and recommit to building a more peaceful and harmonious society.
He emphasized the importance of faith in overcoming adversity and promoting national cohesion, saying the Easter message is a call to action for all Nigerians to work towards a brighter future.
“May it strengthen the bonds of unity that hold us together as one nation, and inspire us to continue building a Nigeria where peace, tolerance and goodwill prevail,” Idris prayed
The Minister wished all celebrating Nigerians, both at home and abroad, a happy Easter, praying that the season brings joy, peace, and renewal to all.
