
All was agog at the National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, when the Ebony Herald International Magazine held her annual Hall of Fame and Dignity Award on Wednesday, 8th November, 2023.

The event which started around 11am, was a gathering of many eminent Nigerians from different fields of human endeavour.
The distinguished guests include: Senator Solomon Ita Enang, the chairman of the event; Amb. Albert Omotayo MFR, the father of the day, a former Director of FERMA and the guest of honour; and Alhaji Nojeemdeen Jimoh, Chief Executive of Citizens FM Radio, Abuja.
Some of the awardees were High Chief Mrs. Nike AbdulRahaman, the Yeye Oge of Northern Nigeria; the Oba Yoruba of Bwari Area Council, His Royal Highness, Oba Dr. Nurudeen Abiodun Elias
Ph.D; Engr. Charles Adekuajo; Olorogun Vincent O. Oyibode, JP, FCIA; His Royal Majesty Eze Chiabuato Emelike, Ezimba 1 of Eziama/Mgbaja kingdom, and Otunba Abubakar Adeshina Omoluabi. Others are Eze Engr. Samuel Wanosike for Excellence in Local Government Administration; Engr. Michael Iwegbu as Icon in Engineering; and Dr. Emmanuel Ikenyiri, KSC, for Excellence in College Administration, Hon. Mrs. Seun Bosede Osamaye, Hon. Obi Stephen Owan, Hajia Hajara Iye Abu, Hajia Prof. Maryam Abdulahi the Jagaban Mata Zazzau and many others .

In his address, Senator Ita Enang spoke about the unity of Nigeria and the importance of newsprint and information dissemination.
He praised the publisher for creating means of employment for our youths.
In his address, the CEO of Citizens FM spoke on the unity of the country as well and the progress of the nation.
He went down memory lane to touch on the role played by our past leaders.
The publisher of Ebony Herald International Magazine, Alhaji Lai Gidado, thanked God for making the day a reality and thanked those who honoured the invitation and who have, in one way or the other, contributed to the success of the magazine. He stated the importance of news dissemination in physical form and went on to announce the birthing of a new tabloid named Abuja Herald.
Individuals who spoke at the event, thanked the organizers for the occasion.
The event ended on a note of conviviality and camaraderie with several photo sessions by all and sundry.
