Ekiti Police Arrests 4 Suspects, Commences Investigation On Baby’s Disappearance

Following the alleged mysterious disappearance of a new born baby at the Okeyimi Health Centre in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti, the state Police Command has arrested four persons for questioning.

The spokesman of the command, SP Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said that the baby, who was born at about 8:00 p.m. on Sunday night, was reportedly stolen by unknown persons.

Abutu said the command has detained some medical personnel in the ward, security guards and other suspects, in order to assist the police in its investigation.

He said that the commissioner of Police (CP), Joseph Eribo, had directed the state CID to conduct a thorough investigation, and ensure the recovery of the baby.
