Fatal crash: ATBUTH commiserates with Channels TV over death of cameraman

The management of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital has mourned the death of Channels Television cameraman Kani Ben, describing the loss as tragic after he succumbed to injuries from a road traffic accident while receiving treatment in the ICU.
The late journalist was among media professionals covering the commissioning and handover of projects executed by the North-East Development Commission alongside the Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari, when the accident occurred.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Yusuf Bara Jibrin, described Kani Ben as a committed and highly professional cameraman whose passion and dedication to duty were widely admired.
He recalled interactions with the deceased during media coverage of events and praised his humility and professionalism.
Prof. Jibrin extended heartfelt condolences to the management and staff of Channels Television, the Bauchi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, and the entire media community over the loss.
He also sympathised with the family of the deceased and prayed for God to grant them strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Chief Medical Director further prayed for the speedy recovery of other journalists involved in the accident who are currently receiving medical treatment.
