FG bereft of ideas to tackle security challenges – Dalung

A former Minister of Youths and Sports under the immediate past administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Hon. Solomon Dalung has accused the Federal Government of not showing the required determination and seriousness to end the escalating insecurity in the country.
According to him, it was indicative of the fact that, the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal Government has not pretended it was not committed to end the escalating insecurity in the country.
He pointed out that, the recent adoption of over 275 students from a School in Kaduna State by bandits to an unknown location after moving for several hours without any form of resistance from Security agencies was a pointer to the fact that the Federal Government has ran out of ideas on how to fight the menace which has brought the Nation to its kneels.

The former Minister disclosed this to journalists at a burial service held in Mushere- west, Bokkoss local Government Area Plateau State, Saturday March 16th,2024, for the repose of the Soul of Pa Dariye Defwan and Na Kaka Saratu, parents of a former Governor of plateau state, His Excellency, Sen. Joshua Dariye.
It would be recalled, that Dariye’s father was kidnapped in 2020, spent some days in the hands of his adoptors and was later killed.
Reacting to the Mammoth crowd who came to pay their last respect to Pa Dariye and the manner in which the Patriarch was killed, Hon. Dalung who described the deceased as a humble and honest community leader, said the crowd, to him, was of less significance, but that the circumstances which led to the death of Pa Dariye, was an indication of the fact that, good has been attacked by evil, and has also left in the minds of the people with the agitation whether it was wrong to live a good life.
Continuing, the former Youth and Sports Minister said the Mammoth crowd at the burial Ceremony, was a confirmation and appreciation of the fact that, the people will always allign with good over evil.
