Horror: Husband Killed Wife in Kebi By Jamil GULMA
Shock rippled through Bayawa town, Augie Local Government Area, Kebbi State, last Wednesday, as a 30-year-old man, Suleman Mamuda, was arrested for allegedly taking the life of his 25-year-old wife, Umaima Maidawa, in a horrifying domestic incident in the early hours of the morning.
According to reports, the suspect allegedly struck his wife with the wooden handle of a hoe, resulting in her death.
He subsequently fled the area but was traced and apprehended in Katami town, Sokoto State, following police investigations and information provided by community members.
The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Umar Mohammed Hadejia, confirmed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and prosecution.
The Kebbi State Police Command has urged members of the public to promptly report incidents and continue to support law enforcement efforts aimed at maintaining peace and security across the state.
