Information Minister Distances Self from Aide’s 2027 Election Speculations
The Office of the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has disassociated itself from a write-up by an aide, Sa’idu Enagi, discussing the 2027 Niger State gubernatorial elections.
According to a statement issued by the special assistant (Media) to the minister, Rabiu Ibrahim, the write-up, titled ‘Malagi 2027,’ is unauthorized and contrary to the minister’s focus on his official duties.

“The Honourable Minister is focused on steering the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation and will not be distracted by political machinations,” the statement said.
The Statement confirmed that the aide has been suspended pending investigation, and advised the public to disregard the write-up.
The statement further emphasized the cordial relationship between Minister Idris and Niger state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, saying speculations about the 2027 elections undermine their collaborative efforts for Niger State.
