Joint Security Operation Rescued 8, Traced Body of Kidnapped Traditional Ruler in Kebbi

In a statement signed by the Kebbi State Police Command PPRO, Superintendent Nafi’u Abubakar made available to the pressmen in Birnin-Kebbi disclosed that acting on credible intelligence and in view of the determination and resilience of the combined team of Policemen, Military and members of the vigilante, Eight (8) victims of the kidnapping incident of 6th October 2024, at Kanya District of Danko/Wasagu LGA, have successfully been rescued unhurt on Tuesday, 8th October 2024 at about 1000hrs, at Sakaba Forest, after a gun duel.

The rescued victims have since been reunited with their families after receiving medical attention at the General Hospital, Sakaba.

Regrettably, while the search and rescues operation was ongoing, the dead body of the district head of Kanya, Alhaji ISAH DAYA, was found in the forest.

In view of the foregoing, the commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M. Sani, is using this medium to condole with the Kebbi State Government, Zuru Emirate, immediate family and well wishers of the late district head of Kanya, Alhaji ISAH DAYA, and prayed may his gentle soul continue to rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

Consequently, the CPll solicited members of the public to provide the command and other security agencies with relevant information that will assist in arresting the perpetrators of the dastardly act.
