The Minister of Interior and member of the alumni of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, has called on the executive members of the association to be committed to building individuals as a way of enthroning a lasting legacy.

He made the remark during his goodwill message he delivered at the end of year party and the inauguration of Roland Adesina Development Foundation held in Abuja on Saturday.

Olubunmi Tunji Ojo who was part of the dignitaries that attended the event expressed delight for being able to grace the occasion. He commended the excos of the association for their good jobs so far, but charged them to look into helping individual members to grow above whatever programmes the body may have put in place

Ha appreciated Engineer. Femi Adekanbi, the President of RUGIPO for his support to the Alumni’s overall development.

He gave a hint about the imminent upgrade of the polytechnic to a university, which he reasoned would enhance the number of students of the instititution.

The interior minister pledged his support for the alumni, even as he promised to look into their demand for the employment of members of the group.

He made an undisclosed financial support to the association, towards achieving its laudable programmes.

Similarly, Chief Adeola Adesina Victor, President of the alumni, in his remark appreciated all chairmen of the existing six chapters and executive members for their contributions.

He informed that the alumni as part of its contributions to the development of society embarked on massive solar installations, sinking of boreholes in the institution, rehabilitation of some parts of the institution.

He expressed the confidence that, in the coming year, more chapters would be inaugurated.
