Muslim Scholar commends Nigerians over faith in God despite hardships (VIDEO)
Nigerians and Muslim in particularly have been commended for their faith in Almighty Allah despite the economic downturn and hardship for them not to deny their religious obligations of fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan as prescribed by Allah.
A Muslim Scholar and the Chief Imam of Gedegede Akoko, Rtd Colonel Fadillat Arimiyahu gave the commendation in his lecture titled “Hardship and global economy”, at the Ramadan lecture of Supreme council for Islamic affairs Akoko northwest held at Afin Akoko yesterday.
The cleric described Nigeria as one of the countries that always support leaders and pray for them in the face of hardship and in any situation.
Arimiyahu predicted that with both human and natural resources, Nigeria will overcome her challenges.
The chairman of the Islamic umbrella body in Akoko northwest local government, Sheik Basiru Aminu urged Muslims to observe fasting with dedication and fear of Allah.
Highlight of the occasion which was attended by Muslim leaders and clerics was the installation of Alafin of Afin, Oba Professor Abudraheem Mustapha Adejoro as the Life Patron of the Supreme Council for Islamic affairs in the area and certificate was presented to him by Hon Fatai Atere, member ondo state house of assembly representing Akoko northwest constituency 1.
A former national organizing secretary of Ansar ud Deen society of Nigeria, Alhaji Ibrahim kilani who was a special guest at the occasion described the chosen of Afin monarch as patron as very appropriate based on his antecedents as a professor of Arabic and Islamic studies.
