Oba Onifiye Adimula set for grand celebration of 3rd Coronation Anniversary
Preparations are in top gear in Idado Ijesa Kingdom, Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Kehinde Adebowale Taiwo (Orilobamise Jowele-LoriOoko II), Onifiye Adimula of Idado Ijesa, prepares to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of his coronation.
Speaking with journalists at his palace during the week, the revered monarch announced the programme lineup for the two-day event.
According to a statement issued by Aare Tunde Odofin,
Special Media Consultant to Onifiye, the celebration will commence on Friday, 5th December 2025, with the Adodo-Oshokogbin Festival, a revered traditional ceremony that showcases the kingdom’s heritage.
The anniversary proper will hold on Saturday, 6th December 2025, featuring the formal consecration of some deserving individuals who have been honoured with chieftaincy titles.
The day will also witness the official launch of the proposed N200 million Ultra-Modern Onifiye Palace, a landmark project aimed at enhancing the historical and cultural identity of the kingdom.
The monarch disclosed that the event is expected to attract a host of prominent personalities, including government officials, traditional rulers, captains of industry and other distinguished guests.
According to him, attendees will also enjoy exciting side attractions designed to give visitors a memorable experience of the rich culture and warm ambience of the Idado Ijesa people.
