Obama, Trump, and battle for America’s soul

The best and greatest legacy that America has ever given the world dominated by democracy, was the election of her first and only Black and minority President since 1789, when General George Washington was selected as the pioneer President of God’s own country, not on any party platform, but by the acclamation and consensus of the American Founding Fathers.
I can tell you that the MAGA crowd, led by Donald Trump, holds a contrary view, seeing the election of Barack Hussein Obama as an aberration one that compelled Donald Trump to run for President on a white supremacist agenda that became a reality in 2017, when Donald Trump was elected the 45th President, despite losing the popular vote by three million votes.
He narrowly won the Electoral College tally against Hillary Rodham Clinton, who came close to becoming the first female President of the United States in 2017.
Barack Hussein Obama’s hypothesis, brilliantly articulated today in a public interview aired on MSNBC, is that democracy is on the verge of collapse and risks losing its legitimacy in the most powerful country in the world if it is not predicated on the rule of law and the universal principle that nobody should be above the law.
He stressed that Americans thrive when they are ruled and governed by the same Constitution, which is designed to equally protect all Americans, regardless of their faith or religion, skin colour, ethnic origins, racial identity, educational qualifications, or financial status.
If we discount democracy from America, there is nothing left to talk about.
America simply becomes another authoritarian regime or dictatorship, like we see today in China, Russia, and North Korea.
The whole world is in turmoil and on a tenterhook right now, and many fear that the Third World War may be hovering around the corner if care is not taken to find a permanent diplomatic solution to the current tension between India and Pakistan two nuclear-armed neighbour and now between Israel and Iran in the most volatile region of the world.
