The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Chief Dr Sam Ogbuku has appreciated President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for appointing him as the MD/ CEO of the Board of NDDC.
Ogbuku, made this known during his 50 years Birthday Thanksgiving service held at the St. Mark Anglican Church, Ayakoro, in Bayelsa State.

While thanking the President for the privilege to serve, the MD/CEO said without the NDDC platform he wouldn’t have been known nationally as well his ingenuity and leadership qualities would also not have been noticed.
He thanked God for the love and achievements recorded in the region through the Commission under his watch and staff who have contributed to his successes.
Dr. Ogbuku reaffirmed NDDC’s commitment to partnering with the Bayelsa State Government in the area of development and human capacity building.
In his remarks the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri described Chief Dr Sam Ogbuku as a man that’s been love by all and the government is proud to associate with him.
The Governor who was represented by Hon. Peter Peretubo Akpe said that as a man if God blesses you and you do not reciprocate by also touching the lives of people such blessings could be seen as a cause.
He said but in the case of the celebrant they have seen that his blessing is divine considering so many lives he has touched both in Bayelsa, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
According to the governor it’s the wish of the people and government of Bayelsa State that he grows from strength to strength, adding that anywhere he finds help God in his infinite mercy will show him help and greater and better news will be his portion..
In his sermon, taken from the Book of Psalms 103, The Bishop of the Diocese of Ogbia, Rt. Rev. Tamunotari Matthew Obaze emphasized the importance of appreciating God’s love in every situation.
The clergy praised Dr. Ogbuku for recognizing God’s favor in his life, stating that such an act is a gateway to more blessings.
The clergy further commended Dr. Ogbuku’s leadership qualities and his commitment to bringing development to the Niger Delta region.
He expressed confidence in his ability to continue making a positive impact in the region.
The service was attended by several dignitaries, including the NDDC Executive Director, Projects, Dr. Victor Antai, Bayelsa State Representative on the Board of NDDC, Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, and other Directors of the Commission.
