…promises better days ahead

A governorship aspirant in the Ekiti State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, has hailed a former aide to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Mr. Biodun Borisade, on his frank and honest assessment of the situation of things in the state.

In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on Thursday in response to comments credited to Borisade in a viral video on the internet, Otunba Fayose hailed Borisade as a patriot who means well for his people.
Until recently, Borisade has been the senior special assistant to the governor on New Media, but the two fell out owing to irreconcilable differences regarding the direction the state was heading to.
In the viral video on the internet, Borisade carpeted the governor, describing him as a manifest failure.
But in reacting to the assessment of Borisade, Otunba Fayose described the former aide to the governor as a sincere soul who seeks the best for his people.
According to Otunba Fayose, “My dear brother, Mr. Biodun Borisade has demonstrated courage and sincerity in the face of intimidation and political and economic uncertainty”
While maintaining that Borisade’s comments are mere confirmation of his past assertion on the state of affairs on Ekiti State, Otunba Fayose said, “He has stood up to be counted amongst patriots working for the good of our dear state.”
He, however, promised a new deal and better days ahead for Ekiti State when elected to office next year, adding, “I am using this opportunity to call on my dear brother and other well meaning residents of Ekiti State to join me in making this dream a reality.”
