I intended to write about Natasha – the crisis involving Godswill Akpabio rocking the Red Chamber. However, the moment’s exigency and the issue’s sensitivity demand serious attention and time, preventing me from following through with my plan. The situation is frustrating, portraying the Senate as a trapped system, making it nearly impossible to meet people’s expectations and their yearning for the dividends of democracy. Shenanigans and name-calling are emerging in the Red Chamber. In the tenth assembly, we witnessed the Ningi Gate scandal of budget padding, and now we are observing Natasha and Akpabio’s sexual harassment claims and counterclaims, followed by the suspension of the accuser while the accused enjoys the privileges of his exalted office. This topic can’t escape my scrutiny and analytical exertion. To fill the gap, I’m sharing essential perspectives on my recent articles: IBB Memoir and the harsh policies of President Trump’s Second Coming. Dear Professor M. K. Othman, you have come again. Many may assume it is too late when the head is cut off. However, the outstanding achievements of IBB speak volumes about Nigeria’s development, which we are enjoying. I wouldn’t have found words to explain when Nigeria’s capital city was still in Lagos, especially with the plans and calls for secession by some of the present cabinet members of PBAT. We must wake up because, at all costs, they want to win the upcoming elections. Otherwise, Nigeria should break up. Clear indicators speak volumes of their intentions. IBB would have to checkmate most of these grandmasters, but his ability to do more for Nigeria, combined with age and health challenges, was a significant hindrance. The northern elites have to wake up. Let’s gear up by identifying unbiased, credible, and educated leaders who know the terrain and the suffering of the masses and have the political will to salvage the nooks and cronies of Nigeria’s territories and beyond. It is a herculean task, but politics is a game of numbers. May Allah extend IBB’s life in good health, safety, and prosperity ameen thumma ameen.Engr Hassan Bawa

Trump II: Are His Policies Blessing Africa in Disguise?
Good insight and advice. Let our leaders take advantage to study the incursions of terrorists into our regions in the name of Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Boko haram, etc. What is in disguise is peace. We do not need weapons of mass destruction to be killing ourselves through weapon trades and policies that only pay the Americas. There will be peace if our leaders want peace and development, not corruption through weapon deals with any country. We know the atrocities France committed in Africa, especially to the Francophone countries. They almost plunged us into war with our brothers in Niger Republic. Yet our leaders are foolishly romancing their policies with the thinking that they mean good to us. This write-up has started an authentic discourse on a serious wake-up call to rely on God’s blessings on Nigeria and Africa.
