Rivers Gov, Fubara, assures residents of quality healthcare
Rivers State’s governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has stated that his administration is committed to providing high-quality medical care and social welfare to the people of Rivers State.
Governor Fubara made this known while addressing Rivers people at the opening of two key health facilities in Port Harcourt.
The health facilities which included; the Dental Maxillofacial and Ophthalmology Hospital and Kelsey Harrison Hospital were reconstructed by the state government.
“I want to promise the people of our dear state and all our supporters we are going to be firm, even in our calm nature, follow our course to the end.
“Governance is to make the people happy and it’s our duty to make sure every opportunity that comes our way is to put smiles on the faces of our people.
“Nothing, and I repeat nothing will make us deviate from this course.
“I want to thank every one of you for your support. It’s immeasurable, I feel it when I sleep and it gives me extra energy, when I come out, I come out strong because I have the people”, he stated.
Also, the widely celebrated Governor assured that his administration would continue to be committed to Rivers people for the mandate given to him.
In her speech, the commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze described the project as a three-story structure that houses a 100-bed secondary healthcare hospital in Port Harcourt’s Diobu neighbourhood.
According to her, it will address the high rates of diabetes, hepatitis, hypertension, baby and child mortality, and other cardiovascular disorders.
