Tributes as Engr. Adeleye marks retirement from civil service
Friends, family, and colleagues came together in a joyous celebration to honour Director of Vehicle Inspection Services,
Engr. Dennis Alaba Adeleye, as he retired from the Ondo State Civil Service after 35 years of distinguished service.
The event, held at the Ondo State Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service Centre in Akure, was graced by dignitaries, including the Lord Bishop of Owo Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev. Stephen Ayodeji Fagbemi; Justice Leo Ologun; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr Oluwafemi Francis Ayodele; Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Department, Chief Akinbamidele Akinnagbe; former Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Kayode Ogundele; and other top government officials.
During the formal pen-down ceremony, Mr Oluwafemi Francis Ayodele, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, described Engr. Adeleye as a dedicated leader who not only contributed immensely to the Vehicle Inspection Services Department but also mentored his colleagues for growth.
He wished him success in his future endeavours.
Delivering a sermon, Pastor Fesobi of the Redeemed Christian Church of God expressed gratitude to God for Engr. Adeleye’s life and described him as a devout Christian.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr Rotimi Adeleye thanked God for granting the celebrant the grace to witness the milestone.
He praised him as a family-oriented and generous individual, adding that the family takes immense pride in him.
On behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Engr. Ebenezer Adeyeye described Engr. Adeleye as a humble man dedicated to the progress of his colleagues.
Similarly, Engr. Akinlogbe, speaking on behalf of Vehicle Inspection Officers, commended Adeleye as a friendly boss and exemplary leader, praying for God’s continued blessings upon him.
Former Ondo State Head of Service, Mr Kayode Ogundele, lauded Adeleye’s dependability, hard work, and integrity.
In her remarks, Alhaja Hon. F. I. Gidado, the Iya Adinni of Akure, described her cousin, Pastor Alaba Adeleye, as a rare gem and a bridge builder who treats everyone equally, regardless of tribe or religion.
“I pray that Almighty Allah continues to shower His blessings on Pastor Adeleye,” she added.
Engr. Olorunsola, speaking on behalf of Ejigba Community, commended Adeleye for his peaceful nature and congratulated him on his retirement.
In his response, Engr. Dennis Alaba Adeleye expressed profound gratitude to God, attributing all glory to Him for the opportunity to witness the occasion.
He also appreciated everyone who came to celebrate with him.
