UCC Holds Capacity Building Workshop for Journalists.
The United Correspondents Chapel (UCC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council, is organizing a two-day capacity building workshop for its members.
The workshop, with the theme “Re-Enacting Investigative Journalism: The Role of Correspondents,” will take place on November 11th and 12th, 2025, at the Chapel’s secretariat in Yenagoa.
According to a statement by Mr. Ekaunkumo Amgbare, Chairman and Mr. Chris Mark, Secretary of United Correspondents Chapel, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai, will be the Special Guest of Honor while the Chief Press Secretary to the Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Daniel Alabrah will serve as the Guest of Honor.

The statement further notes that the Chairman of NUJ, Bayelsa State Council, Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha, will serve as the Chief Host, while the UCC Chairman, Comrade Ekaunkumo Amgbare, will be the Host
The statement adds that the workshop will feature two veteran journalists, Mr. Chris Odi and Mr. Enideneze Etete, as guest speakers. They will share their expertise and insights on investigative journalism, helping participants to deepen their knowledge and stay up-to-date with contemporary trends in the field.
The UCC invites all members and journalists from other sister chapels to attend the workshop and enrich their knowledge as the event promises to be a valuable opportunity for professional development and networking.
