In separate statements, both schools expressed profound pride in their students’ academic feats, attributing their success to hard work, discipline, divine guidance, quality teaching, and the enabling learning environments provided by their institutions.

“We are incredibly proud of Olumide. His success is not only personal but also reflects the dedication of our teachers, the support of his parents, and the conducive learning environment we strive to provide every student,” ICONS Comprehensive College stated.

Similarly, Oluwasegun’s achievement was described by AUDCHS as “a testament to the transformative power of quality public education, mentorship, and the unwavering support of passionate educators.”

A breakdown of their scores shows Olumide scoring 98 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics, 94 in Chemistry, and 80 in Use of English.

Oluwasegun also impressed with 98 in both Mathematics and Physics, 79 in Chemistry, and 71 in Use of English.

Olumide, a 15-year-old native of Ekiti State, is widely regarded as one of the most brilliant students at ICONS Comprehensive College.

Known for his quiet confidence, curiosity, and love for science, he has consistently excelled since joining the school and has always stood out academically.

Oluwasegun, on the other hand, is not new to the spotlight. A former champion of the inaugural Falaye Science and Mathematics Olympiad (FSMO) in 2024, he attributes his success to divine guidance, unwavering determination, and the strong support system at AUDCHS.

The school specifically acknowledged the Ondo State Government’s commitment to recruiting quality teachers and the dedication of its teaching staff.

Their remarkable achievements come in a year when many students across the country struggled in the UTME, with the 2025 results largely marked by low performance.

Against this backdrop, Olumide and Oluwasegun distinguished themselves, shining like beacons of excellence and hope.

Educational stakeholders and parents have lauded both institutions for nurturing academic excellence.

ICONS Comprehensive College is noted for its experienced teaching staff, modern facilities, and firm commitment to discipline and quality learning.

AUDCHS, a public secondary school, has gained a reputation for producing top-performing students and excelling in competitions across Owo and Ondo State.

As both students prepare for the next phase of their academic journeys, their stories serve as powerful inspiration to their peers and younger students.

They embody the virtues of hard work, focus, and the far-reaching impact of quality education.

Join us in celebrating Olumide Afolabi and Oluwasegun Precious Olamide, two bright minds proving that brilliance knows no bounds and that with the right environment, mentorship, and determination, greatness is within reach.
