Victims of rainstorm in Ara Ekiti, Ijero Local Government, have made a heartfelt appeal to Governor Biodun Oyebanji to provide them with urgent assistance.

The storm left many families homeless, and the victims are struggling to cope with the aftermath.

The appeal was made during a visit by the Legislative Leader of the House, Ijero Local Government, Hon. Mayowa Taiwo and Supervisor for Agriculture, Hon Micheal Ariyo Akinsuyi who sympathized with the affected residents.

The victims explained that the rainstorm had not only destroyed their homes but also left them without a means of survival.

Hon. Taiwo expressed his disappointment and concern over the incident, promising to forward the victims’ request to the relevant authorities for immediate action.

He reassured them that Governor Oyebanji is deeply committed to the welfare and well-being of the residents and would provide the necessary support to help them recover from the disaster.

Hon. Taiwo however congratulated Governor Oyebanji on his recent “Man of the Year” award from SilverBird Management, citing it as a testament to the Governor’s exceptional leadership and the unprecedented development that Ekiti State has witnessed under his administration.

It’s worth noting that Governor Oyebanji has previously appealed to residents to embrace tree planting around residential buildings to prevent the alarming rate of destruction caused by rainstorms.
