Who says that President Tinubu will not be re- elected in 2027? By Prince Dr. Wumi Akintide

Who says that President Tinubu will not be re- elected in 2027?

A day in Politics is a long as Eternity because a lot of feelings about the President and the opposition can change in a twinkle of an eye in Politics

Something is now clear to all and sundry that Nigeria is now too polarized for a group like Arewa or the Fulani as a unit or the Hausa/ Fulani or the Yorubas and the Igbos and the Ijaws as one ethnic group to hold any candidate to ransom by threatening a Block vote like the Northerners are now saying simply because the old North now control 19 states while the old South now control only 17 thru the machinations of the Maradona Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha who made that possible for the North as a Block.
But the old North can no longer take the vote from Benue Plateau and the vote from old Kwara and Kogi and even the vote from Bornu for granted like the used to.
However, It is a legitimate question to ask. You have to look at the antecedents of the questioners and their motivations and hidden agenda in taking the position that Tinubu must be removed at all cost because he had dared to pass the Tax Bill and the VAT and.

What exactly do they mean when they say the President is not performing by their own yardstick and therefore would not be re- elected in 2027 according to them.
His two political sworn enemies namely Nasir El Rufai and Atiku Abubakar are
I tell them to go tell that to the Mountains. The genius strategist know how to win and will win again by a wider margin this time around when the voters begin to weigh and compare his achievements with the those of his predecessors in that office.
1. In the last two years Tinubu kept our kids in the University without a single strike disrupting their academic calendar….. First Nigeria leader to achieve that…
2. Tinubu gave Poor university students funds to pay for their fees and lift the burden off their poor parents…. He should have given CUPP the money to buy houses in Abuja…
3. Tinubu approved 8 new Medical universities to train new Doctors, Nurses and other Health workers to fill the gap of manpower shortage in the health sector…
4. Tinubu released over N250billion to states to revamp all the primary health centers across Nigeria…. Not Done Tinubu is building 8000 new primary health centers across 774 LGAs to take health care to the people…
5. Tinubu set up 6 regional govt and disbursed almost N4trillion to them to transform all the critical infrastructure in the 6 regions putting allowing each regions to develop at their pace
6. It took Nigeria almost 40 yrs to add 2000Mw of electricity to Nigeria transmission grid,.. it took Tinubu 2 yrs to add over 1500Mw….
7. In two yrs Tinubu is constructing The Lagos – Calabar coastal highway that would lead to massive seaports in the coastal states , create massive tourism and investment worth trillions of naira…
8 Tinubu is building Agro processing zones across different states to bring agro industries close to farmers to process farm products to finish products… Agro industrialization..
9. Tinubu Through the Rural Electrification is electrifying rural areas with a target of 1million rural homes
10. Tinubu is installing solar power in federal universities with 22 universities already connected..
11. Tinubu did not borrow trillions of naira like previous leaders to subsidize petrol and to place the debt burden on our children..
12.
He should have borrowed and give the money to the CUPP cartel…
12. Tinubu didn’t borrow a dime to defend the naira or to service the repayment of Loans to the IMF and the World Bank. Tinubu deserves some credit as an Accountant by training by carefully managing that aspect of the Nigerian Economy unlike all of his predecessors in that office. Nigerians have got to give him some credit for that. He still has some shortcomings but he has shown some courage and leadership on that score. He is investing a lot of money on Infrastructural Development like roads but at what cost I must ask since some of the allocations were approved by the Present without adequate input from the National Assembly. and without allowing competitive biddings for the contracts awarded out to contractors in a country as corrupt as Nigeria. I question the President’s motivation for such lapses.
He should have left the dual exchange rate alone so that this CUPP criminals can buy dollars from CBN at N400 to a dollar and sell at N800 at black market which is not good. The President is siding with
Money Doublers which is not good either.
13 under Tinubu Nigeria recorded a trade surplus of over N18trillion … First in over 25yrs..
14. Under Tinubu Nigeria recorded GDP growth of 3.4% in 2024 2nd highest in the last 10yrs..
15. Tinubu has succeeded in produce a tax reform law ( already passed by Nass) to end the obsolete tax law that made Nigeria one of the country with the lowest tax to GDP rate…
16. Tinubu successfully reduce Nigeria budget deficits from 50% in 2023 to about 23% in 2025..
17. From printing money to share in FAAC , Tinubu policies have stopped the 36 States from borrowing to having money to pay off debt under CUPP best leaders and still executing gigantic projects
18. Tinubu has transformed Nigeria from borrowing and printing money to pay salary to having enough to fix capital project just like Idi Amin or Mobutu Sese Seko would have done.
I will not mention the over 70 federal highways being constructed simultaneously…
The Sokoto Badagri superhighway being constructed by Mr. President is a step in the right direction and those accusing him of neglecting the North are being disingenuous and wrong and very unfair to the President.
The ranches being built by ministry of livestock has added yet another feather to the hat of Mr. President.
I will not talk of the $3billion dollar fibre optics roll out it’s too complex for CUPP…
I will not talk of the 3Mtt program…
I will not talk of the over $7billion paid FX backlog owed by previous govt to foreign
Who were pulling out of Nigeria due to FX scarcity.
I will not talk of the over $40billion new investment that are back to Nigeria due to Nigeria new economic strength under Tinubu. We must give credit where credit is due.
I will not talk of the Nigeria stock exchange market that’ has more than double in the last two years due to investors confidence…
I can go on and on …. But today is democracy day…
Go out and celebrate… There is no alternative to Democracy that is why Tinubu critics can insult Tinubu without being sent to jail.”
Onovughe Igwe
Those who are erroneously and prematurely describing Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the worst performing Nigerian President since Obasanjo’s second coming in 1999
have to first of all read and digest the article highlighted above and to debunk or demolish it with facts and figures, all of the achievements attributed to or accredited to Tinubu in the article
I strongly advise those political enemies to go listen to and digest the lessons to take away from the musical genius and composition of King Sunny Ade when he sang and I quote:
“Eyin lo ku ki e m’ura nitoripe Tinubu to g’Oke Odo k’’Afara to ja, Eyin lo ku ki e m’ura
Yes, it is true that Tinubu is not eloquent and he lacks the oratorical talent and flourish to sell himself or articulate his own achievements as President but he has people who can do that for him and he has limitless funds to pay them for it.
If you don’t believe me, you could go watch on YouTube today his commissioning of the 30 kilometers of the Lagos – Calabar Interstate Highway his Administration has completed in 2 years and listen to all of the effusive praises being heaped on him by all of the speakers at the Ceremony in which the President is praised to high Heavens as the Harry Houdini or Professor Moshood Peller of Nigerian Politics who is able like Jesus to turn Water into wine and to feed more than 10,000 people with 5 loaves of bread.
I listen to David Umahi, his Minister of Works and all his staff in the Ministry including his Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works praising the President to High Heavens and telling anybody who will listen that all of the many highways Tinubu is constructing are designed to last for a hundred years.
It is clear from the videos that he is at least doing something that eyes can see. If the voters view those achievements the same way, while would they not consider voting for him when they go to that polling Booths in 2027. It is a legitimate point to make and I make it with all the emphasis at my command by scoring the Presidency a CPlus or a B- two more years to the end of his first term.
Tinubu as explained by Godwin Akpabio the Senate President, in his own speech, not only has sight, he also got a clear vision and method as brilliantly and eloquently stated by the blind American named Helen Keller who became the first blind person to use Braille technology to study for and to earn her Ph.D.
Helen Keller, added Akpabio, had attributed her success to a combination of “Sight and Vision” which is what President Tinubu appears to have got in quantum as an achiever of no mean caliber and as a leader.
The Campaign for 2027 has already begun and men from other Parties are increasingly jumping the sinkin boat of their parties to go pitch their tent with the Tinubu- led APC as we speak. That is a good sign if the trend continues
It is a wonderful country and damn too early to predict who is most likely to win in 2027. Two years in Politics is Eternity as far as I am concerned as a Political Science Major and a political analyst
I won’t be surprised if it is Tinubu again who had managed to beat the combo of Buhari and Emefiele in the 2023 Elections.
If you find a snail or a tortoise in the Highway, it just did not end up there by accident.
I rest my case.
