The Erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party, (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has described the feud between the state governor, Sim Fubara and his predecessor, Chief Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT as a divine orchestration in response to the wailing of the people over alleged
highhandedness and percieved annexation of the state and her resources by the latter.

The APC chieftain who reacted to the development over the weekend said that governor Fubara did well for promptly adhering to the counsel of responsible leaders and stakeholders in the state “to severe the state from the dominance of a discontented power-monger whose gory antecedents as a governor was a direct opposite of the developmental penchant of his predecessor, Chief Rotimi Amaechi”

In a statement, Chief Eze described the Wike eight-year reign as the worst period in the annals of Rivers State. He described the Wike’s dispensation as a time when the administration of the State was ran without any clearcut fiscal policy framework, “but at the whims of an unsympathetic and merciless emperor whose strategy of leadership is by installing fears and intimidation in the mind of the people as a strategy to evade their wrath for his non-performance.”

Eze criticized further that the Wike’s period went down in history as a time when the government of the state could not attract one single foreign investment.

He alleged that the former governor’s era was characterized by the refusal of the administration to imbibe the laudable policies and programs initiated by the administration befote.

He accused the Wike’s administration of importing a strange system of governance unknown to any civilized State where billions of the common patrimony of the people were handled and determined by a single individual without a sound State Assembly where pensioners were reduced to a life of misery with non-payment of their pensions.

Eze argued that all the stated anomalies and many more were recorded by the Provident, leading to the orchestration of the conflict between Wike and his political son, just to free the state from a wicked hold.

The APC chieftain cautioned Fubara not to entertain the thought of retreating which could be interpreted as an act of cowardice in the process.

On what he tagged the condemnable support of PDP Elders in Rivers State for former governor Nyesom Wike, Eze called on the elders to face the facts by advising Wike as elders they were regarded and not as partial elders.

Eze described as childish the accusation by Wike that his reasons for falling out with Governor Fubara was that the Governor was hobnobbing with some of his political enemies after getting into the office.

Also reacting to the FCT Minister’s meeting with members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, chaired by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, he said that it exposed Wike’s as not been well acquainted with the tenets of governance and the powers of an incumbent governor when he stated that nobody can take his political structure in the oil-rich South-South state.
