2027 polls: Mobilise for Tinubu’s re-election, Interior Minister charges BTO Coalition

Ahead of the 2027 polls, the Minister of Interior has thrown his weight behind the BTO Coalition Platform for PBAT 2027, applauding its commitment to grassroots mobilisation.

Tunji-Ojo made the remarks at the weekend in Abuja during the official inauguration of the platform and an award presentation in his honour.
The minister thanked the coalition for its resolutions and commitment to supporting him and the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
He urged members to mobilise people across their communities to ensure the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
While pledging his support for the group, Tunji-Ojo encouraged members to translate their words into action by campaigning sincerely and voting en masse for all APC candidates, stressing that a convincing victory remains sacrosanct.
“I thank you for the privilege of sharing your moment with me. It’s not a right; it’s a privilege that you are sharing your time with me.
“I do not take it for granted, and in my own little way, I assure you of our support for what you are doing,” he said.
“For me, something is more important than me, and that is Mr President, because the reason we are here is because he is where he is.
His being there is why we are here.
“There are many groups that will emerge. Some are merely Abuja-based and do not reach the grassroots.
Please, let your presence be felt on election day. Let us see your influence and efforts. Let the support be organic and translate into votes and better performance for the President.
“Let us return to Ondo State and understand that it is not just about winning in the state but winning in an unprecedented manner.
Voter turnout and vote numbers should be two or three times what we achieved in previous years.”
Earlier, the National President and Coordinator of the BTO Coalition Platform for PBAT 2027, Abubakar Adeshina Omoluwabi, presented the award to the minister and commended his performance at the Ministry of Interior, noting that his achievements have had far-reaching impact.
“Our purpose here is to inaugurate the coalition officials to work for APC’s victory from top to bottom and to present this award of Outstanding Leadership to our amiable Minister of Interior for the good work he has been doing.
Your positive impact is being felt at federal, state and local levels,” he said.
In his vote of thanks, Akinagbe Alayo praised the minister’s performance and appreciated him for granting the coalition audience and support.
He prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the minister in the discharge of his duties.
“Sincerely, even without campaigning, people are already speaking well of you and the wisdom God has given you.
We will continue to pray that God grants you more wisdom. The people of Ondo State love you, and come 2031, we want to see your face again.
Thank you and God bless you,” he said.
