63 year -Old man kills mother over palm oil proceeds in Osun

Tragedy struck at kajola village, Apomu, Osun State where a 63-year-old Lukman Odejoju reportedly ended the life of his own mother, Aminat Odejoju, amidst a dispute over the sharing of proceeds from their palm oil farm.

Reports said a conflict began when they couldn’t agree on who should oversee the income generated from their farm produce

Sources revealed that Aminat insisted on her right to the proceeds, leading Lukman’s resort to violence, tragically ending her life

Confirming the incident, Osun Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola said the suspect confessed that he pushed the deceased in a bit of rage, and that his actions were not deliberate.

According to her, the suspect claimed he could not understand the spirit that possessed him when he pushed his mother leading to her death
