Armed Bandits Storm Gulma Town Killed 1 And Many Injured

In the late hours of Thursday, some suspected armed bandits stormed Gulma town in Argungu local government of Kebbi State killing one person, while many others sustained various degrees of injuries, as a result of gunshots wounds.
An eye with who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent that around 9 pm on Thursday some armed men on motorcycles attacked Aljazeera Supermarket in Gulma town belonging to one Alhaji Fatahu, and started shooting.
One person died instantly and many other persons sustained serious injuries as a result of the gunshots.
It was gathered that hearing the sound of gunshots, some youths in the town placed tree trunks and other obstacles on the roads leading to the exists of the town.
It was further revealed that the bandits narrowly escape but one of their motorcycle was seized and handed over to the vigilante as there is no security agencies on ground.
An eye witness, Malam Hassan Usama, told our correspondent that the bandits are Fulanis as they were heard speaking Fulani language when they were in the supermarket.
The executive chairman of Argungu local government, Honourable Aliyu Sani Gulma, confirmed the incident and further explained that one person died, in the attack, seven sustained injuries and were taken to the Federal Medical Center in Birnin Kebbi for treatment
the state command’s PPRO, CSP Nafi’u Abubakar, also confirmed the incident, but did not make further comment as he is waiting to hear from the area command.
