Tributes, gratitude as Deaconess Adeyinka Ogunsola bows out of service
The conference hall of the Electrical Department hummed with anticipation, a fitting stage for a woman whose years of dedication had left an indelible mark.
Cheers erupted as Deaconess Adeyinka Ogunsola stepped in, her radiant smile reflecting the joy of the moment.
It was a day of celebration, gratitude, and heartfelt tributes as she gracefully bowed out of the Federal Civil Service on Thursday, 13th February 2025, closing one chapter and stepping into a new season of fulfilment.
The event, held at the Conference Hall of the Electrical Department, was chaired by Engineer Ameh Ochogwu, Director of Street Light.
The well-attended ceremony drew many dignitaries, including Ambassador Albert Omotayo, Engineer Mrs Onipede, Mrs Florence Daniel-Unuigbe, and the celebrant’s elder brother, Alhaji Lai Gidado of Ebony Herald International, accompanied by his friend, Alhaji Ayinde Soaga.
Also present were Mrs Margaret Anthony, President of Mending Homes Ltd, Mrs Ezekwe, Margaret Bolorunduro and top civil servants from the Federal Ministry of Works, including Engineer Kunle Oyinloye assistant Director.
The event featured a praise and worship session led by Temitope Adedeji, the celebrant citations was presented by her junior sister Mrs. BOLA Omotayo aka Abeni Monachica while Engineer Bankole Omosebi anchored the programme.
The ceremony, which commenced at about 11:00 a.m., was marked by heartfelt tributes showered on Adeyinka Ogunsola.
Former colleagues, staff, friends, neighbours, and family members described her as a hardworking, diligent, friendly, and kind-hearted woman.
Her colleagues further praised her as a team player, highly dedicated, and a committed professional who served as a role model.
Many expressed how much they would miss her presence in the workplace.
A memorable highlight of the event was the touching tribute from her children, Barrister Dolapo and Dr Akintunde Ogunsola.
They reminisced about their school days, recalling how, at the time, they thought their mother was strict, only to later appreciate the values she instilled in them.
“We used to think Mummy was wicked, but today, we are grateful for the training she gave us,” they remarked.
To show their appreciation, they presented her with heartfelt gifts.
In his closing remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Engineer Ameh Ochogwu, prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Adeyinka Ogunsola, wishing her good health, happiness, and success in her retirement.
