BMNA Nominates HRH Chief Wariebi Berebozigha As Best Traditional Ruler In Bayelsa State.


The Bayelsa Media Network Award ( BMNA) has nominated His Royal Highness Chief Wariebi Berebozigha, ( The Ama-Miepinamowei the 13th of Federated Ikarama Communities ) for an Award as the Best Traditional Ruler in Bayelsa State.

Chief Wariebi Berebozigha was nominated due to his enormous contributions for the growth and well being of the community and people of Ikarama Federated Community in Okordia Clan, Yenagoa, Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The BMNA, is a platform that aims to promote excellence and recognize outstanding contributions to the development of Bayelsa State and beyond in various fields, including media, healthcare, and community service.
Speaking at the palace of the Traditional Ruler, the Project Manager of BMNA Mr.Blessing Ozegbe, described the Paramount Ruler as an exceptional leader who has discharged his responsibilities diligently with utmost enthusiasm.

Ozegbe, who was amazed with the successes recorded by the Highness withing a short period on the throne, called on other Traditional Rulers to emulate the sterling leadership style of the Paramount Ruler.
He said “BMNA unknowing to many check individuals, organizations, that is contributing to the development of society and humanity. People that are really doing well in their various areas of endeavors. We do our own investigations and honor those that have done well in Bayelsa State and beyond Nigeria”.
“Today we have selected you as the Traditional Ruler of the Year base on merit and considering the developmental strides you have carried out, your achievements speaks volume and in BMNA we’ll encourage you to do more.
He further commended the people of the community for rallying round their paramount Ruler in ensuring he succeeds, noting that without the support of the followers it will be very difficult for any leader to succeed.
He also noted that the award ceremony will take place on December 26th 2025 at the Nigerian Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Secretariat Ernest Ikoli Press Center, Azikoro Road, Ekeki Yenagoa by 1pm prompt.
In his response, the Traditional Ruler of Ikarama Community, His Royal highness. Chief Wariebi Berebozigha, thanked the organizers for nominating him as the best Traditional Ruler of the year and promised not to betray the confidence bestowed on him.
According to elated Berebozigha, it’s his zeal to see that the people, and the community experience developmental strides for which he’s also committed to their plights by achieving so much within a short period as a traditional ruler.
He further enumerated some of his achievements to include the installations of solar lights, construction of community auditorium, upgrade of a primary health care center to a cottage hospital as well as the construction of two new roads which is to begin by the end of February in addition to a town hall.
While commending his subjects for their peaceful disposition in the face of daunting challenges, the Monarch called on Federal and State Government to create more polling units in the area so as not to continue depriving them of their voting rights during elections, that one polling unit for the community is far too small compare to the population.
He also decried a situation where the community being the biggest in the clan is having just one market, therefore called for government intervention for more markets in the community.
