Gov Aiyedatiwa, Deji of Akure, Adegbonmire, Adubiaro, others to grace commissioning of Multi-million Naira Muslim Creche and Orphanage Home in Akure

In a landmark move to uplift and support vulnerable children in the Muslim community, the Akure Muslim Women group is set to officially commission Manzilu Mustaqbalin-Nayyir Lil-Muslimaat Bi-Madeenati Akure (Bright Futures’ Home), the first Muslim Crèche and Orphanage Home in Akure, Ondo State.

The historic commissioning ceremony is scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at No. 4, Iwaro Lane, Isolo, Akure, by 9:00 a.m.

The event promises to attract a distinguished gathering of dignitaries and stakeholders from across the region.

In a statement signed by
Chairman, Media Sub-Committee for the Commissioning, Alhaji Lai Gidado, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.

Also billed to attend is the Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, who will serve as Chairman of the occasion, while Alhaja (Barr.) Kudirat Abosede Gbadamosi will function as the Chairperson of the Day.

Among other prominent guests expected are the Ondo State Commissioner-Designate, Dr. (Mrs.) Seun Bosede Osamaye, and the Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, both of whom will serve as Guests of Honour.

The Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, Alhaja (Dr.) Abibat Adubiaro, is billed as the Mother of the Day, while the Chief Executive Officer of Fortunate Bread, Alhaji Jimoh Iyiola Adejumo, will be honoured as the Father of the Day.

Hon. Peter Makinde, a Member of the House of Representatives, will attend as the Special Guest, with the Royal Host being His Royal Highness, Oba Edward Adewole, the Osolo of Isolo, Akure.

The Royal Father of the Day is the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, while the Chief Host is the Grand Imam of Akure Empire, His Eminence, Alhaji Sheikh (Dr.) Abdul-Hakeem Adekunle Yayi-Akorede.

According to the organisers, the initiative is aimed at providing a nurturing and supportive environment for Muslim children, particularly orphans within Akure and its surrounding communities.

The Bright Futures’ Home is expected to serve as a safe haven where children can access care, education, and moral upbringing in line with Islamic values.
