Nigerian Soldiers Intercept Boko Haram, Kills 12 Terrorists

Nigerian soldiers have ambushed a Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province logistics convoy in Borno State, killing 21 terrorists.

The operation, carried out under Operation HADIN KAI, followed credible intelligence that over 100 Boko Haram fighters had gathered in the Sojiri and Kayamla communities to coordinate attacks and transport supplies.

The troops, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local vigilantes, intercepted the terrorists at around 12:00 noon, engaging them in a fierce firefight.

The terrorists attempted a rear-flanking attack, but were thwarted by the troops’ superior firepower.

Recovered items include bicycles, food, medical supplies, clothing, and assorted weapons.
