Glitz, glamour, and a cascade of encomiums marked the 60th birthday of Alhaja Fausat Balogun, Director of Ebony Kitchen, Oba-Ile, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at DejaVu Events Hall, Alagbaka, Akure, as friends, family, and dignitaries gathered to honour a life well-lived.
The colourful ceremony attracted a convergence of eminent personalities from the political and social circles, alongside family members, friends, and colleagues, who gathered to celebrate the milestone.
The celebrant, who also serves as the Deputy Coordinator of Nigeria Decides, Ondo State Chapter, was ushered into the hall in a grand procession, accompanied by well-wishers who thrilled guests with various dance steps to the melodious tunes of the live band.

Tributes flowed freely as guests took turns to extol Balogun’s virtues.

Her daughter, Hajia Rukayat Onikola, beamed with excitement as she described her mother as a jewel of inestimable value.
“My mother is loving and caring. She is amazing, diligent, and unassuming. Her love and passion for her children know no bounds.

“She is truly a jewel of inestimable value,” she said.
The former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, in his remarks, admonished the celebrant to continue drawing closer to God and prayed for her long life in sound health.
Former Speaker Rt. Hon. Taoafik Abdul Salam described the celebration as a special gift to her family and prayed for her long life and abundant blessings.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion and Chairman of the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Victor Olabimtan, described Alhaja Balogun as a disciplined, dedicated, and hardworking woman.
In an interview with journalists, the Coordinator of Nigeria Decides, Nasarawa State Chapter, Princess Sarah Jatau, praised the celebrant as accommodating, respectful, and kind-hearted.
“I feel highly delighted to identify with her,” she added.
In her thanksgiving speech, Alhaja Balogun expressed profound gratitude to Allah for His mercy and grace upon her life.
“I am a recipient of divine grace.
“Despite the ups and downs of life, Allah has remained faithful.
” I give Him all the glory for granting me the rare privilege to mark this day in fulfilment, good health, and happiness.
“I am deeply grateful to everyone who has come to share in my joy. May good things never cease in our lives,” she prayed.
At the attestation segment, one of her siblings, Alhaja Rafat Olufowobi, described her elder sister as a symbol of beauty, humour, and an unyielding zeal for success.
“She is a divine gift to our family,” she enthused.
Guests were lavishly entertained and treated to assorted continental dishes and drinks throughout the event.
Dignitaries who graced the epoch-making ceremony included Hon. Bisi Ogungbemi, Engr. Omotosho Gbenga, Rt. Hon. Aguda Sunday, Col. F S Saka Rtd, and Hon. Rasak Ipintoye.
Others were; Hon. Kehinde Ogungbe, Hon. Ganny Dauda, members of Nigeria Decides led by Hon. Mayowa Sunmola, OSOPADEC Chairman, Hon. Biyi Poroye, Engr. Ben Akwe, Alhaji Lai Gidado, publisher of Ebony Herald International Magazine and several other distinguished personalities.
