Jubilation as Afin Akoko honours Radio Nigeria Correspondent, Kilani

Jubilation swept through Afin Akoko at the weekend as Ibrahim Kilani, the community correspondent of Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure, was honoured by residents under the aegis of the Afin Development Association.

The association, led by its National President, Hon. Demola Ijabiyi, presented Kilani with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to the development and promotion of Afin Akoko over the years.

Speaking at the event, the Alafin of Afin Akoko, Oba Abdul Raheem Adejoro, said the award was well deserved, noting that Kilani had consistently used his platform to project the community positively.

The monarch urged him to continue his good work and encouraged youths in the town to emulate his commitment to community service.

In his remarks, Hon. Demola Ijabiyi appreciated the award recipient and other supporters of the association for their continuous contributions, urging them not to relent in their efforts towards the development of Afin Akoko.

In his response, Kilani dedicated the award to Radio Nigeria Positive FM Akure for providing him with the platform to showcase and promote the community.
