
A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Diaspora 4 Diri (D4D) known for promoting peace, good governance and sustainability says its ready to galvanize support for the re-election of Senator Douye Diri.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the office of the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Bayelsa State Governor, the leader of the NGO, Dr Rosalyn Dressman said that Diri’s sustainability and intention for good governance prompted the NGO support for the governor.


According to her though they in the diaspora may not have the voting right,but are prepared to work for the second tenure bid of the miracle governor .
She further hinted,the Special Adviser on number of programs lined up to be carried out by the NGO such as sensitization of the public on the forthcoming election,medical outreach and to fix up toilets in areas needed amongst others.
She also added that part of the NGO’s responsibility is to ensure that they sensitize the public on peaceful election while drawing inspiration from the words of the formal president of Nigeria Dr Goodluck Jonathan who says no one’s ambition is worth the blood of anyone.

In his response,The Special Adviser (SA)to the Bayelsa State Governor on Political Matters Hon Chief Collins Cocodia commended Dr Rosalyn Dressman for her contributions to the development of the State and also for her strong believe in the administration of Senator Douye Diri.
Hon Cocodia,advised the group that in an electioneering period there’s need for expansion so as to meet up in delivering the good works of the governor down to the units level.
His words “You need to expand and the time is now,you need to get more persons,but i know you have Local Government Coordinators but then if the group will survive the next phase the group need to have more persons”
From each of the units from ward unit to unit level and if you do that you will have 105 for one in each word,then if you have one in each unit then you will have seven thousand plus”
The S.A Pol, also charged the group to go round and involved people of like minds whom will stand the test of time and also share in the same vision same as the vissioneer to avoid rancour by people who do not mean well for the organization.
On the programs to be carried out by the NGO,Cocodia encouraged them not to relent,stating that though it may look strange but he believes that at the end it will be beneficial to the people of the State.
