Angry Mob Lynched A Man For Allegedly Stealing Bread.-Bayelsa police Command Condemned Mob Action. By Chris Mark

A man named Ebimotimi Freeborn has been lynched by angry mob for allegedly stealing bread in Yenagoa.

The suspect age 31,male from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State was killed at Tombia,a suburb of Yenagoa the state capital.

Meanwhile the Bayelsa State Police Command in a statement through the Police Public Relation Officer SP Asinim Butswat has condemned the lynching and subsequently arrested three suspects in connection to the mob action.

According to the statement The suspects are Preye Mathew ‘f’ 50 years, Theophilus Tiro ‘m’ 28 years, and Famous Precious ‘m’ 22 years were arrested on 9 July 2023 at about 1700 hours at Tombia- Amassoma road after an angry mob lynched the suspect to death for allegedly stealing bread.

The statement further warned members of the public to desist from taking the laws into their own hands.
