The Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, has lost one of its shining stars, Aisha Bello Mustapha, to the cold hands of death after a brief illness on Monday.

The NTA presenter who retired in May 2002 was among the popular names who featured prominently on Nigeria television in the 90s.

According to close family sources and friends, who craved anonymity, the deceased newscaster’s funeral prayer will take place in Abuja Central Mosque by 1pm on Monday.

But another family friend identified as Zainab confirmed Aisha’s death and was quoted in a publication as saying that the she would be missed greatly by all and prayed for the repose of her soul.

The late Aisha Bello Mustapha was the General Manager NTA Parliament and was among the popular news casters on NTA Network News at 9 in the ’90s and early part of year 2000s.

The popular broadcaster and former staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), who started her broadcast journalism career early in life earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Kaduna State.
