In a statement issued on Sunday, Alhaja Gidado described his death as sudden and an irreplaceable loss, praising his selfless service, leadership, and kind-hearted nature.

She said: “Your death, to me personally, was sudden and a heavy blow. You stood by us when my brother passed away unexpectedly.

“You have always proven to be a caring brother, a dependable leader, and a man of unmatched humility. You carried the weight of leadership with grace and a genuine desire to uplift others.

“You were a shining example of loyalty and integrity, a man who put the needs of others above his own.

“Your wisdom and sense of humour brought light to every room, and your commitment to the progress of Ondo State was unwavering.

“Why did you leave so suddenly, in the middle of the day, without notice? Oga o! O ma ṣe o! Truly, death is unfathomable.

“Convey my greetings to my dear brother, Ramon Foluso Akorede, your friend. Tell him we miss him, just as we now miss you dearly.”

Alhaja Gidado concluded by praying for God’s comfort for the people of Akure, his family and for the repose of his soul.
