The National Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, in Bayelsa State has commenced the presentation of results for the November 11 governorship election lection held in the state .
While presenting the results for Ogbia Local Government Area,the Local Government collation officer for Ogbia, Prof Kpokpo Dabobelaye said a total number of 11,951 voters registered, while 36,955 was accredited.
Dabobelayefa further stated that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Douye Diri polled 18,345 while the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief Timipre Sylva scored 16,319.
Prof Abubakar Sadique, Collation Officer for Kolokuma Opokuma in his presentation of results said a total number of 65,364 registered, while 24,059 voters cast their votes and 24,471 were accredited.
According to Sadique, party APC scored 5,349 while PDP got 18,465 votes.
Also that of Yenagoa Local Government Area was presented by Prof Adebayo Najudeen,who said a total number of 21,8394 registered,54,380 was accredited and 54,070 votes was casted.
He said Party APC scored 14,534 while PDP scored a total of 37,777 in the Local Government Area.
